Glad to have you back, Gaijin - and glad to see this story continuing.

Judging from the actions of the young Don, the Spaniards just don't seem to realize a new day has dawned, do they.

But that's just fine; arrogance makes as good a toll for manipulating men as any other. :)

Valencians. Always Valencians. Why not Galicians? Or Catalans? I started the whole thing, of course. Back when I had Alfonso--you remember him, don't you? No? Bah! Everything I do is forgotten. I'm going to have to do something very drastic soon...

Director, I am glad to see you popping in! I hope you are right re: the Spaniards :D

Judas, you are scaring me  A new quest? Something terrible in a story always brings a good tension, so I'll await the culmination of your fury, then :)

Gytis, wow - what a dramatic appearance! Looking forward for your character to interfere with my immortals :D please don't stop posting.

Commandante, I will... it's just a type of a scene that I've never written before, so I'm on my third re-writing  I hope you will be properly shocked.

A young warrior was silently going thorough the forest. Any sound was heard as he was going. The only sound that was heard was his heart beating.

Why, he thought. Why they have done this. I havn’t done anything bad. That noble was trying to rape my wife. I killed him just because I was defending here. And they decided to sacrifice for him. Just because his victim was a noble. They do not lisened to him. Simply decided, that lord Passeportout need a sacrifice and this criminal, as they called him, is perfect for this..

Again before his eyes rose an image of whats happened.

4 priests are dragging him to the temple of Lord Passeportout, putting him on the altar and the main priest raised the knife. And then he starts to wander. Why I have to die in such young age? I haven't done anything. I just defended my wife. The dishonourable scum, who attacked her, is a criminal. Then why there am I on the alter. Why the priest is going to rip MY heart out of MY chest? Does the gods want my death. But it wont change anything. I am the most poorest and thus unimportant man in my village. Thus gods can want my life because it is too unimportant. That means, that only mortals want my death. And these mortals are these priests. They want my heart. They will rip it from my chest. But wait. If I am not guilty, why I am lying on this altar. These priests are going to kill me, and I do not resist. I will resist. I wont die like a yeanling, who is taken to the butchery. I will fight. And if I will die, I will die like a warrior.

The sacrifice mustered all his strength and then with a sudden motion freed himself out of the priests hands, catched the main priests hand, teared the knife out of his hand and then with a fast strike ripped his heart out of his chest, raised it shouted
Lord Passeportout, I am no longer your sacrifice and I give this heart in exchange of mine. And he throwed the heart on the altar.

The other priests only now awakened from the first shock and attacked the warrior. There were much of them, and the warrior was only one. The only choice for him was to jump from the temple. And he jumped. As he landed, the blood started to flow thought nose and mouth. It seemed, that a big jaguar was pushing his chest and a hot benders are pressing his legs. But he stayed alive and the shock lasted only a moment. The warriors don't had rime to for a rest. The priests gave the alarm, and the guirds allready saw him. His only chance was forest. There he wouldn't be accessible for the guards arrows. But the forest is so far. Warrior doesn' hve time for more reasoning, as guards were already aiming their bows on him. So he jumped and ran. He was eruning so fast, that he thought, that his heart will explode. The arrow were zipping around him. On his way he impaled on one of the archers, killed him quickly, took his arows and ran futher. And finaly he reached the forset. Nor his heart exploded, nore any of the arows killed him. The forsert was his element, so he quickly hided.
That about the young warriors was thinking. Sudently he heard some thing. A lot of mens runing thought the forsest. It is my chasers. I must run.. And he runed. But the holed do has done its. The warriors was wery tired, so his chasers were aproaching. It seemed, that nobody can save the warrior. But...

Lord Gytisl saw everything. How the warriors defended its wife, how he escaped the sacrifeise and his brave run to r\the forest.

It seems, that this warriors is wise, brave and strong. In the meantime, I need a servant. He would be perfect for this. But at fist, thets test him.

A jaguar appeared out of nowhere near the runner and attack him. Because of the sudden appear of a new enemy, warrior was took by surprise. Jaguar knocked him down and trying to bite thought his through. But then the warrior took jaguars on throat, slinged him and then shooted the arrow to its throat. Good. Now another test.
The giant beast appeared out of nowhere near the wariors. It was half bear, half jaguar. It noticed the warrior and prepared to attack. But the warrior do not scared. He took his bow and shooted three arows. One to creators head, other to its throat and other to its heart. The beast roared and felt.

Good. Its time to intervene for me.

And the god of mutation himself appeared near the warrior. The warrior immediately genuflected. After that, a group of warriors appeared. They gasped in amazement, when they saw lord Gytisl himself... and were turned into toads.

They won't distract us anymore. Now, Little Eagle... by the way, whay are you called Little Eagle?
I dind't fought in my first battle, where I should had to fought. It's because I was atacked by a small red eagle. He was very strong and I fought hole day until I killed him. When I showed its corpse to elder warriors, they only laughed and dubbed me Strange Eagle.
So thats what happened to my mosts powerful man eating eagle. So, lets speak short. I desided to turn you into my servant. What do you think about it?
I am your plaything.
Good. I will give you the power of all creatures in the world. Also, I am not the god of death and I can't make you immortal, but I can give you salamanders power. When you get old or when you die in the battle you will get embodied in flames and you will once again become young and alive.
I grant you these powers, because from now on you will be my right hand.

And the god with his new servant disappeared.

Though he was God of the Winds, Judas still had a few things up his sleeve.

First, he blew very hard on a fault line. The wind blew over many houses and trees in Granada.

Then, the earth rumbled. The ground shook. Houses fell. Walls became rubble. And in the middle of the city of Granada, the earthquake was so perfectly controlled as to make these words:

JUDAS MACCABEUS WAS HERE!

And the worship of Judas increased tenfold overnight in Granada, although the province was still mostly Muslim. Overseas, his worshippers also grew.

An eagle was flying in the-place-that-is-not-place. Suddenly, he saw two talking persons.

Well, Strange Eagle, lets look did I make a good decision.
I won’t disappoint you, Lord Gytisl.
You would better don’t, hehe. So, lets start. Tlaxcalians need troops. Excellent troops. Troops who can use some magic. We can’t make simple mortal men in these warriors, because they won’t manage to complete all tasks and then I will have to kill them for that. So, I have to create them. For this, I need some animals, because I can’t create super warriors from nothing, I can mutate them. Create one creature from human and animal, removing the bad features and strengthening good features. So, at first, I need the bests Andes eagles. Then, bring me some best Jucatanian jaguars. After that, I saw some very strong cats living in continent, called Africa. These cats are bigger and stronger even than jaguars. Local inhabitants call them „Lions”. Bring me some of these „Lions”. Then, a giant bulls, called aurochs, inhabit Lithuania forests. Bring me some of them And finally bring my greetings to Lord Tuna and ask if he can give me some of his sharks and octopuses. Well, this is all. Go.
Yes, my lord.
. And Strange Eagle disappeared.

Good, soon I will create powerful warriors, who together with Rainwarriors will create some kind of Speznaz, who will be capable conducting tasks of any difficulty.

Lord Passeportout strolled in the Royal Palace, unseen. He happened upon Switching Eye and the European. Dirty creature, he said to himself. Quite ugly, by most correct standards. When Delicious One came in, the Lord of the Chase thought it good to excuse himself after a word or two with Switching Eye.I would like a bit of a sacrifice later, as the Lord of Mutation has borrowed one of my intended playthings. This woman will do. It will do her well to be away from any thoughts of sex. Oh, and a word afterwards, if you will. Only Switching Eye had heard. Lord Passeportout stepped out, and then decided he would stay and watch the rest of this odd scene.

As an ethereal being, Lord Black Smoking Mirror, was wathing his plaything dealing with that girl. He was standing next to Lord Passepartout.

"- I welcome thou, O Lord Passepartout, in my humble realm.

- Your realm?

- Humans...

- Oh, THAT realm... A grin flashed on Passeportout's face

- I think we have to call for a meeting of the Gods.

- Why is that my brother?

- Don't you fear that contact with the Europeans heathens could corrupt many young souls? I think we need to do something about this risk. What do you think?"

Yes, I agree. That is why I wish this woman to be sacrificed- She seems like she could cause trouble if Switching Eye does not automatically comply with her requests. Lord Gytis has an interesting idea that might work, but I have reservations. Have you heard about it? At any rate, I didn't do anything when he took a man being sacrificed to me.

I fear I am getting a little off the subject, so let's call on the others, shall we?

OOC: I wouldn't have believed someone a month ago if they said Lord Passeportout and Lord Eochaitl would be cordially holding a pleasant conversation. Oh, and nice writing, everyone.
