Question - Broken Savegame (CK2)

Hi, so i've been playing CK2, i'm in ironman mode. I was playing and i thought that the game bugged with plotting, so i saved the game and resigned. After when i hit the menu the power went off from the house, when it came back up and i launched the game, i couldn't load up the save because it says "BROKEN SAVEGAME". Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

Was it a local or Steam cloud save?

But if the save game file is corrupted there is no rescuing it, I am sorry!

It is local save, i saw that there are some programs that i can may get it to work but it didn’t work for me..

Uncorrupting a computer file is essentially impossible, it's the equivalent of unscrambling an egg ...

being a local save there isn't even the slim hope of an intact copy in Steam.

I'm very sorry that happened to you! The only way to prevent it is to make a manual copy of the save file before each play session, so at least there is an intact one to fall back to. If you are having power or computer problems that might be worth your while though.
