Broken Save Game

Dear Paradox people,

I have been playing this ironman game. Its the first time I entered the endgame before the next patch. So Its the frist time I think I was close to winning the game. I have just defeated the unbidden and was about to strike back in the War of Heaven reconquering all my lost territory, when the god-emperor was one-again entering the shroud. In the shroud I got an event with a medium chance of success. I clicked on it and I think it failed. (I saw the red font in the UI). I had no chance to read the event, as my computer froze und rebooted all of a sudden.

I restarted the game, now the save game is broken. In the "Load Game" Screen its now showing "Broken Save Game" in capital letters. I tried to load it anyways, but the whole galaxie is gone. It's just black with stars in the background.

Now I am wondering if this is a bug or something, or somekind of big bang event I triggered.

If its a bug, I'd like to know, if there is a way to fix the savegame. I really would like to finish the game at least once.

I attached the save file, as well as DXDiag.

Ironman saves cannot be edited or rescued in any way, I'm sorry.

From what you say there was a bug in the game which hung the computer while it was writing the save, which in turn corrupted the save game file.

I'm very sorry for that!
