That is one destroyed Europe Mett, but Anhalt sure put you in the middle of it all and that should be a nice place to start to bring order to Europe and great your great Empire

Scenario-wise, yes. I guess you could rationalize by calling it a reverse "Years of Rice and Salt" scenario. Plus I wanted to use IES.

Wild and zany. Stability and funds seem a little too high for a completely broken down Europe. Good fortune to your attempt to Order Europe.
I think Mainz might be near the top of your list of possible acquisitions!

Ah, excellent! I don't know that I've read too many Ind. Scenario AARs and have always been keen to try it. I'll be very interested in how you make out.
Very good. This is a most fun scenario. Very difficult at the start. What settings are you playing on? Diplomats, gold and manpower wise that is?

That map is just frightening... Oh, the horrors when you get down to the nitty-gritty of reordering Europe. This should be a fairly insane bloodbath, what with the AI's greater latitude of troop limits.... Imagine all those one-province minors having 40k armies... And then imagine them all piling on top of each other... Yowzers!
It is insane. In six tries, I've died within 5 years. Three times I tried finding a successful initial war, but that seems to make me an instant target for my neighbors. Twice I tried to wait, and tie myself to a good alliance. Both times I picked the losing side, went down hard. The final time, I decided to do nothing and let the others fight. Wrong, within two years one of the newest medium powers decided I was a snack. This is crazy but fun, and I'm still trying to get past basic survival to get a game going. This is what I get for leaving literature and returning to gameplay.

I sympathise with you. It took me many goes to survive in my first game.

Can you turn down the difficulty for the first few years, then crank it back up when you know you'll survive? I have no problem with anything so long as the AAR keeps coming.
