The British have the option to enact an invasion of the Dardanelles, but the Ottoman AI always places at least one unit in each province with a shore suitable for landings. Is there some way to actually win such an amphibious operation at this point in the game? It seems that even attacking with a full army, the defender will either win the battle by himself or just needs to throw in another division. Even if one manages to force the defending unit into retreat, another unit can easily pop in to continue resistance since it does take ages for any unit to move into enemy territory... (btw... is there a way to shorten the time needed for an unit to enter an enemy province?)
Since the idea of the event represent historical events, I am wondering if it could be changed somehow to enable a British player / British AI to actually achieve the goals.
Likewise, the Ottoman Empire should recieve a small boost for successfully defending the Dardanelles.
