The French Governement couldnt take any more. After the fall of Paris they wanted to move the governement but after the prime minister resigned they surrendered. The British took over all the rest of France or what was left of it. By now italy was on the retreat with the Austrians backed up by an overwhelming force of Germans had reached Florence. By Christmas 1916 It was Britain , Canada , Italy , Australia , India and New Zealand against Germany , Ottoman Empire and Austro - Hungary. Things were looking desperate and the Kaiser decided on a strategy that should surely win Germany the war. He was going to starve Britain. First using The Ottoman held Land he bombed the suez canal which 20,000 British troops were guarding and then sent Destroyers out to bomb all merchant ships heading for Britain. This was to prove fatal as The U.S had 16 ships sunk. But the worst was British spy's intercepted German documents showing funding for Mexico to invade the U.S. The President couldnt take it any more and DoW Germany

By mid 1917 however British luck was changing. Rictus with some strategic fighting had driven the Ottomans way way back and had them surrounded by the Suez Garrison however much the Germans had tried to bomb it. By mid July The Entente Armies in Africa had reached the Turkish border.

In late 1917 the first wave of 100,000 U.S troops hit Provence in the south of France and took 35,000 Austrian troops. The war was slowly , very slowly turning in the Allied Favours

1917 - Bretange , Northern France

Admiral Durham was in his Warship in the middle of the English Channel. His task was to rescue 45,000 trapped British , French and Commonwealth troops back to home. The Germans had made a quick encirclement of the Bretange penninsular and the Belgians were defending the port.

Although the United States had by this time invaded Austrian held Italy there was no way the troops could stop the inevitable. Beaten they headed for Bretange with the Germans in rapid persuit.

2 weeks later it was discovered that 29,000 troops was the total saved from the beaches. Britain was not beaten though and any invasion was unlickely unless the Germans could throw the United States out of Italy

In North Africa Rictus had planned his offensive which would take them from Tunisia into Suez. By now he had just 3 divisions under him and a mix of battalions. But just as he was about to strike France surrendered and the Germans invaded French North West Africa. 1 French Division and 2 Battalions raced to quash the invasion. Faced with Fighting on both fronts Rictus found himself in an impossible situation. Rhodesian troops were by now bieng deployed to help the French but it was no use. Now traped in Italy with no way throough for supplies the U.S troops surrendered.

On my home a fellow mp asked me "what will they call this war in the future"

"the confusing war" i replied and sadly most will say it in German

im going to finish this one right here right now so
summary of events 1918-1919

Germans capture rest of France from British hands. Italy surrenders to austria giving up all of its northern frontier and libya to ottoman empire. French colonies transferred to Germany as well as Eastern Provinces. Britain and United States contemplate continuing with war but both sue for peace in mid 1919 and peace is signed with the suez canal in ottoman hands.
