Bring back the Emperor

Will it be possible to play as germany BEFORE the nazis rise to power and make the nazis fail to claim power or let a monarchist puch happen?

It would be amazing to see imperial germany takeing revenge, it would just make much more fun than playing with hitler for me..

Anyone else would like this? Or at least the option to bring back monarchy to germany? (Or another "dictator" instead of hitler?)

Not in the vanilla game. It starts in 1936. Who knows though, maybe modders will take up the mantle, or we'll do a DLC at some point perhaps.

HoI3 is mod friendly, I don't know what the reason was for no Kaiserreich and no Core for HoI3. Imo HoI3 with SF, FtM and TFH is very mod 'friendly' and it is almost the perfect game.

What would be the difference?
Aside from a few new faces, Nazi Germany had more-or-less the same administration as Imperial one, the same military, the same industrialists and scientists.

Hitler was at least reasonably competent diplomat and leader. How would the Emperor be, is a big question.

The difference would be that honest, god-fearing monarchists like myself would be able to play Germany without the added discomfort of knowing what the faction actually represents, even though it is not actually represented in the game.

I have no intention of ever playing a fascist nation or aligning with one. I know it's just a game, but I won't do it, so a mod like this would be very welcome.

no, in 2009 if you mentioned the word DLC everyone would scream bloody murder and take to the streets, torching stores, beating women and proclaiming the gaming industry an evil conspiracy hellbent on stealing their money.

(to be fair a lot of DLC companies were making back then was really bad)

Because both mod philosophies are incompatible with the way HOI 3 was made.

Not everyone agrees with lack of research teams and sliders. Just sayin´ (there are other critical differences as well). And for those it isn´t the "perfect game" and won´t allow modding the way they want to.
