It feels wrong to have just one unit pack locked as a bonus that could only be earned close to 2 years ago. It should be either added to all games like the south Indian portraits, added to anyone who links their accounts at any time, or added unto the next content pack. It makes me frustrated to know there is a piece of the game that is blocked to a large number of players forever.

I was thinking this too, until I bought the catholic unit pack and got them. They are in the normal catholic unit pack, and you'll see a "evangelical major unit pack" added again, if you that one.
I think I remember that the catholic majors unit pack is called evangelical something in the place where you redeem the dlc, so, you and maybe someone else might actually have it. But I agree its silly, catholic majors for everyone!

You're confusing them with the AoW units -- Catholic League[29] and Evangelical Union [28].
The free DLCs are -- Catholic Majors [53] and Evangelical Majors [54].
The names of the free DLCs got mixed, which caused them not to show up at release.

EDIT: I'm sorry if this is a necropost, I used to search function to check if there was any news on the unit pack and replied without realising this is two months old.
It shows as Evangelical Majors on the page, but if you download it and go to your dlc selection screen, you will see you have the Catholic Majors as well.
