I am very pleased with the sunset invasion and 1.08. Although I was initially put off by the ahistorical addition it really has added a good mechanic to have a pagan invasion from the other side of the map. With the exclusion of central Europe, playing Catholics across the board are now more challenging. In addition 1.08 seems to have done a good job improving the AI (although that could be purely anecdotal).

I'd like to share with you the world in 1300, and it looks like the end of christendom...



I was King of Ireland and Wales before the Aztec invasion, now I am a Duke under the Aztec Empire. Strangely, the emperor doesn't seem interested in revoking my dukedom.

Actually the changelog for 1.08 covered that situation. Specifically: "Diplo AI: Mongols and Aztecs will no longer revoke titles off human players just for having the wrong religion or culture"

I'm glad they put that in so that being conquered by the invaders isn't an automatic gameover.
