That is strange, but it does give you a chance to wipe out some ottoman divisions by having them in your provinces!

Our economy can now recover, I disband the irregular divisions, they aren't expensive, but they aren't good for Egypt's new image as civilized nation...

After their "victory" over Egypt, the ottomans continue to bully other north african nations
Egypt have lost almost half it's territory and its independece... But Muhammad Ali have won something else, something that's going to be much, much more important...

Alright, now what to do?
I'll try and improve tech and industry while i buy back lands from the OE. Arabia and Southern Sudan/Northern Somalia/Eritrea/Djibouti is not cores, so I'll try and buy them back. Syria is OE core, and so should it be, but how many of you would stop reding if I edited the ottoman cores on southern Syria(todays Israel/Palestine/Jordania)?
Thee-four provinces that historicly was close to Egypt. The sultan of OE couldn't contol them very well. Thus Egypt conquered Syria in the early 19th centuary. Maybe I should give the Ottomans cores on those provinces again after I've bought them?

I think it'll make for a much more entertaining AAR if you fight the Ottomans for Syria. You're going to have to at some point anyway, as you are their satelite, and that state of affairs simply cannot be allowed to continue
