I don't know how to explain it but Brandenburg in my ironman runs never wins or do good, the AI picks extremely useless allies, and normally get eaten by Magdeburg or Bohemia, and thats doesn't make alot of sense they are lucky nation they have decent location, they got one of the best ideas but they are meh, never saw them create prussia or even get danzing cause polan , i really think some nations should get special AI (i dont know if its possible) or make lucky nation have extra buff depends on the size of the nation like france will get 5% of the buff while brandy boy will get 70% buff that decays with his size, also just to say Berlin is meh Provence should be kinda better,also why austria start with a king that wont die...

I agree some nations are way to weak in the hands of the AI, Dennmark, Brandenburg, sometimes even Muscovy, I have sometimes seen Novgorod conquer Muscovy.

I don't know if your way of buffing the nations are the right way, but I can't think of any good way myself right now.
