I haven't played this game in a long time, and I want to play again but doing something different.
Unfortunately, I can't think of anything that would be interesting, so, I've decided to ask some of you more experienced folk, if you would be so kind as to help me figure something out. :p

Maybe playing as Canada, letting Britain be invaded, and try to retake it? (Assuming the Germans would even try to invade them)
Maybe playing as Republican Spain, winning the civil war, and joining the allies, is that even possible?
Maybe the opposite, Nationalist Spain, joining the Axis, if it's possible that is?
Maybe a mod? I've only ever played Fallout Doomsday, and Kaiserreich, and both were a while ago.

Has this ever happened to some of you folk? And if so, how did you get back into the game again?

I have seen AI Republican Spain win the Spanish Civil War and join the Allies. I have then seen AI Republican Spain get stomped by AI Germany. Maybe you could do better. I sure couldn't.

You can do both with either Spain. If you're going to play as Republican Spain with the intention of taking on the Axis, be sure to wrap up the Civil War as soon as possible so you can concentrate on improving your industrial base and military. If you join with the Allies early on, you'll receive lots of blueprints but you may also be at war with Germany sooner than you like. Alternately, you can stay out of an alliance and DoW Germany while they're stuck on the Eastern Front. Playing as Nationalist Spain against the Allies is a bit easier. Just remember to defend your beaches and take Gibraltar as early and as quickly as you can.

As for Mods, I highly recommend the All-in-one Mod. It incorporates WiF, NWO, Cold War Tech Tree, new decisions, and new units/brigades altogether.

I'll try playing as Republican Spain and try and build a miniature maginot line along the Pyrenees. Then, when I inevitably fail that plan, I'll try that All-in-one mod.
Thanks for the suggestions.:D

That'll be a fun game. I can't remember, but if you have cores/VP on Mallorca, then you can pull back to the island if mainland Spain falls to the Axis. If that's the case, then you should start building IC there as soon as you can. Just a thought.
