I just get Distant Stars and the Brain Slug event that give the Trait Brain Slug Host but it seems this Trait does not work. It is supposed to give 10% research speed and when I put my brain slugged leader the 10% are not in the Research Progress, I should have 52%. Is that a bug or am I don't understanding something?

Looking at the underlying .txt file, the devs used the self_modifier = {} rather than the modifier = {} clause in some of the cases. I'm sure it'll get fixed quickly when the first patches roll out..

It's as sillyrobot said remove the "self_" and all should work fine, quite a few of them to change as well.

Under Traits/Distant worlds also.

It's a bit more difficult. Some of the traits (like the experience modifier) need to be in self_modifier. So you'd have to add a modifier={} clause and then split the modifiers between two sections.

Frag dammit. Does this apply to the resource modifiers to, or just the science research boost? As i it is doesn't boost science output, I'm going to be regretting populating my research planets with -25% growth speed normal citizens...!

Looking at the base files, I would guess among the leaders, the general and the governor modifiers work properly (the governor is actually better than intended since the xp reduction is in the wrong spot). It looks like the species traits should also work.
