bought new DLC and now CK2 and EU4 dont work

1. CK2 loads fine and then when it gets to the main start screen, instead of showing a map, i have a white screen with lines to the right that pulsate

2. EU4 now crashes when I start it, right in the middle of "creating checksum"

I bought the newest content on steam and this is my first attempt to run both games. Help please!

Please try a full clean re-install of both games:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

If that doesn't help, Please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity) and your Documents/EU4/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/EU4/logs/ directory, post system.log . Open setup.log in notepad and search for 'checksum', post that line only here too please.
