i have downloaded CK and DV with CK running the 1.05 version. but i cant get the DV version to load/run correctly. am wondering what exactly is the process required to run DV.

You know it is an expansion pack that must be installed over the top of CK 1.05?
yes but im unsure of exactly how to install the game do i need to copy files over into the ck file or is it a completely seperate program because inm not sure what to do with it
If you have CK installed in the default-directory, then you can just use the installer from DV. It will automatically install it in the right place. You don't have to manually copy and paste files.
there is no install file in the folder that i downloaded and the launch file is a .dat file which will not run

i have redownloaded the files am wondering will the game say deus vult in top right corner or will it still read 1.05
could it be a problem with me running vista i know that creates problems with HoI 2. when i try to the deus vult files an error comes up with a critical error saying excel file not found with the options of abort retry or ignore
It should read Crusader Kings 2.01 (or 2.1) beta
Where have you installed CK ? When using Vista it is best to not install CK in its default directory, but under C:\Games f.e.

I just downloaded and installed DV again. This is what I do
1. I go to GamersGate
2. I login
3. I go to My Games
4. I click on the donwload button next to Deus Vult
5. A small .exe is downloaded
6. I run this .exe, by double-clicking on it
7. My PC makes contact with the server
8. Deus Vult is downloaded
9. After having downloaded it, the installation-program (which launches itself automatically after the downloade is finished) tells me where it is wanting to install Deus Vult
10. I check if it is the correct adres and then install Deus Vult
Now, where does it go wrong with you ?
You must launch the installer by clicking the download button inside Gamersgate.
The setup program is not downloaded to disk initially.
