I just had a child of my late emperor born, my current character's sister, born with the 'born in the Purple' trait. Pretty sure that's not supposed to happen.

Born in the Purple when Emperor/Father is dead

I have had a similar situation like this occur as well, however to me at least this does make sense. If the child in question was born of the emperor then they were born into royalty and thus born into the purple.
