Bootstrapper Error

Ive recently come across the bootstrapper error twice in the same week, the last time i had it i done everything that was said, deleting the launcher and all subsequent files related too it.
Since then it has come back and even doing all them steps wont fix it. Whenever i have been able to get onto the launcher it will say that there has been an error in updating the launcher then kicks me off and wont let me back on with the Bootstrapper error message, any fixes?

We now have reports of this on AVG, Avast and possibly Kaspersky.

You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

dowser.exe (in the Steam Stellaris folder)
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2020.16/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

Tried that and unfortunately the same problem, goes to install the launcher and right at the end of the process says theres a bootstrapper error. It happens to all the Paradox games i try to launch but since i have deleted quite a few its only Empire Of Sin right now.



EDIT : I have since tried all the steps again and it seems to be working but with a constant update available. All the folders are on the exception list so hopefully it will be able to update.

I have had the same issue for the last few days, however the difference being this did not change anything for me. I'm not sure what to do.

Sorry to hear that, i would recommend that you open a new thread entirely with as man details as possible cause thats the best way they can help.
Also in the mean time google "Paradox Launcher Bootstrapper Error" Should be the 1st one, that helped a lot.
