Just for the record, much of my work on the 1.03 AI was done after I joined the beta, and not as much was from my mod. So many things were changed, I practically had to start from scratch. So saying my mod was 'incorporated' into 1.03 might be pushing things a bit. ;)

Paradox seems to value the input from the mod community more than any other game company I've seen. Hell, the IGC(EU1) guru works for Paradox now. Obviously they will try to pull in the talent of someone working hard on a good historical mod, as both Bolt and Trip have proven. While I'd agree that Paradox games like the EU series and HOI take long after release to become refined, that seems to be solely on the scope the games have offered. Not to mention that when it does become refined, it's a damn better product than anything else on the market. Good things come with time, man.

Thx a bunch mate... This is indeed the case. If you can sue Paradox for something, it must be for the tremendous input they have from their community... Input they use, input they like. Paradox must indeed be one of the sole companies that does this...

Oi! What about us unpaid FAQ fetishists? The modder flyboys get all the glory while us FAQ infantry slog through game mechanism mud, slowly winning the information battle. :D

Actually, to be a modder is to, somewhat, be a FAQster. And I used to be deeply into IGC with EU - it got me into FAQing in the first place (and betaing EU2... ;)) to explain "how" to mod and what all those files are used for, etc.

Prolly repeating an earlier point. Paradox makes their games open for modification precisely because they deal with things that are either historically arguable, or require such massive amounts of research as to be untenable economically to acquire and adapt into the game by the developer. Paradox games are "open source" to some extent. Particularly with HoI, as much of the game is being exposed to facilitate modification.

Anyway, I'll also join in praising Trip and Bolt in their efforts pre and post betadom. :)
