I'll make up the installer and send it to you bolt.
Verbal : I did recieve your email instructions on how to do this . . . but I've had a prior experience in another game where I tried to create an installer for people and I mucked it up and screwed up some people's games. So I don't trust myself.
Your instructions were clear and I will be taking a shot at creating one just for the intellectual challenge of overcoming a previous failure.
I'm going to be RL busy the rest of the afternoon so I won't be able to get to this until later tonight though.
I am very excited about people's experiences with version b and I hope to see some reports in the forums (positive or negative). I spent alot of time making it and I think it works rather well, and provides a much more challenging game than normal HoI or even Bolted 1.01a. I hope I can read some comments about how the game is much improved with these mods (not that I am vain or seeking approval). I do need the feedback from an analytical perspective. Those things I can continue to improve on I will. There are some things beyond a modder's ability to control.
My process for making the Bolted HoI was time-consuming, but nevertheless interesting. I took each Ai parameter and changed it to an extreme value and spent an hour or two observing the long term effects of this change on the game. I did that over and over again with almost every variable. Based on the assessments generated, I'd create a set of variable values that I thought would work in the context of the game, then tested that whole package. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat ad infinitum. The result, however, is a set of variables and parameters that I think is the best the game and the 1936 scenario can do at the moment.
