WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!?!?! I WANT THIS!!!

Bolt, PLEASE!!! When will this be ready for download. Yea I know I'm putting pressure on you, and great artists ( :D ) should be allowed to finish their work without pressure... But this just sound SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Good! I just can't wait!

A question... When 1.02 arrives, will Bolted HoI be updated too?

Though there's no doubt already that's its a big improvement... no doubts at all.

I'm not so sure there will be a Bolted HoI 1.02 anything. Depends on what 1.02 does. Surely its safe to assume that Paradox is either aware of and implementing various solutions and/or has at least looked at the Bolted version notes ?

sorry - i meant after paradox 1.02

I doubt that the changes you've made will become redundant - certainly not many of them including events and country specific stuff as well as provincial changes.

I expect the paradox 1.02 will sort out the Ai more than anything - thus bolted will just get better, rather than be "superceeded".

Verbal : I did recieve your email instructions on how to do this . . . but I've had a prior experience in another game where I tried to create an installer for people and I mucked it up and screwed up some people's games. So I don't trust myself.

Your instructions were clear and I will be taking a shot at creating one just for the intellectual challenge of overcoming a previous failure.

I'm going to be RL busy the rest of the afternoon so I won't be able to get to this until later tonight though.

I am very excited about people's experiences with version b and I hope to see some reports in the forums (positive or negative). I spent alot of time making it and I think it works rather well, and provides a much more challenging game than normal HoI or even Bolted 1.01a. I hope I can read some comments about how the game is much improved with these mods (not that I am vain or seeking approval). I do need the feedback from an analytical perspective. Those things I can continue to improve on I will. There are some things beyond a modder's ability to control.

My process for making the Bolted HoI was time-consuming, but nevertheless interesting. I took each Ai parameter and changed it to an extreme value and spent an hour or two observing the long term effects of this change on the game. I did that over and over again with almost every variable. Based on the assessments generated, I'd create a set of variable values that I thought would work in the context of the game, then tested that whole package. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat ad infinitum. The result, however, is a set of variables and parameters that I think is the best the game and the 1936 scenario can do at the moment.

You can go direct from a normal HoI 1.01 installation to 1.01b Bolted. You can skip A.

Thanks for asking this question, I have put clarification on the Bolt site.

Must you skip "a"? In other words, if you have already installed "a" via the EZ installer so all the original Paradox 1.01 files are backed up to ".old", what happens if you install "b" via the EZ installer?

If you have 1.01 normal HoI, you can install direct to b.

If you have 1.01 Bolted to 1.01a you can install direct to b.

If you have normal 1.01 HoI and for some reason wish to install Bolted 1.01a and then install Bolted 1.01b, you can do that too, but its a total waste of time.
