I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about Peter. Are you talking about POPs or the nationwide population figure given in the country overview?

POPs represent the workforce. The figure given in country overview is the actual population figure (ie. it is larger than the total number of POPs). However the precentages between the two stay the same (ie. if 3% of your POPs are French then 3% of your nationwide population is French).

I just made a mistake by typing slightly too fast. Of course you are right: The figure displayed as the national population is the national population, not 1/4 of it. Post amended.

Actually, having non-civilizeds limit their wars to their neighbours is a good thing.

However, being an island doesn't mean that you have no neighbours !

I would suggest treating every country that you have only 1 water province in between as your neighbour (At least with HoI/EU province sizes).

Japan should be considered as neighbouring Korea, English isle neighbouring France, Cuba neighbouring Florida and other islands there, Madagascar neighbouring Africa, and all the Indonesian islands neighbouring each other and the mainland, so the natives there can fight some petty wars ....

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yo-He, the Leaden one, the Bug of Eternity

The Count, the planmeister

Cir Tap, the joker

The Inescapable Fate of Night (a reformed demon)

Tricky Dick, the fortress builder

Kenya-Do, the stomper, He of the Mighty Foot

Fred the Dead, SpokesServitor to the Gods (a permanently retired used-litter salesman)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:)
Guesses:
Yo-He = Johan
Cir Tap = Patric
The Count = Greven

Wilder guess :)
The Inescapeable Fate of Night = Dark Knight

Even wilder guess/instinct:
Kenya-Do = Ugly Duck

First three are right.

The Inescapeable Fate of Night = Doomdark
Tricky Dick = Dick (leading artist)
Kenya-Do = Kenyado (his title, "The Stomper", is sort of an inside joke for betas)
Fred the Dead = Fredrik Malmberg (executive producer)

Perhaps there should be a rule that the satellite can always DOW their overlord? Regardless. It would be rather stupid for an uncivilised nation to take over the world, but never ever, get free of GB for example.

Because Peter's HoI AAR was a demonstration of much that was wrong with the earlier versions of HoI and he prefers EU2, and presumably Victoria as well.

Read all the EU2 AARs, you will love them, even if you don't know the game.
