I should be able to make it this Thursday when I take off from work - how would everyone feel about moving this first session up to Thursday (tomorrow) at 9PM? If that works for everyone we could start tomorrow and continue on Fridays. Post here to let me know.
I only read the first couple of post but if I was to be on at 8 EST then is there a chance to play a nobody country? Just something to make it intresting?
is that still 9PM eastern time lamprey? thursday isn't really the best day for it, but i suppose if you can't avoid being absent on friday, i'll make myself available then. Doing it on thursday would likely make some players unable to attend, so if the guy that posted before this post (Mr.G 24) wants to join us, there'll likely be an open country or two for him.

Thursdays aren't the greatest for me. I'd get home at 8:45 on Thursday nights. I have boyscout meetings then. And i would also have to log off at 10:30 due to school in the morning. I could play then, but not for too long. So thats why Fridays are ideal for me.

well, hopefully lamprey decides to show up and host the game hes created on friday instead, the day he set up for it, so you'll be able to play longer...
edit: i saw this general reaction from players coming... I actually have a 2 hour online chem exam i was going to do on thursday night myself, but i can do it on friday instead, if we can't play on friday.

sounds good, we can replace the current host when that new computer day comes, then we can always play on fridays!
Mr. G, I'd rather not have any "nobody" countries played by humans. Either play a large one or don't, there's no point having people in the game playing minors and contributing nothing but lag to the game. We'd love to have you and I'm sure we'll have something open for you to grab, so come on by - but expect to play a European country with at least 15 million population
You know after the two sessions I had no problems at all with lag, in fact it was usually Lady E or talleyrand's multiple accounts that caused lag. Not sure why you're taking the remark personally... The fact is, any 8-player game will be more laggy than a 2-player game. And seeing as more players are fun to have in a game, we welcome any who want to attend - but they should play majors. An 8-player game with 4 people playing Belgium, Sweden, Portugal, and Papal States will essentially not be much different from a 4-player game without those minors being human-controlled, and it will move much faster. Hope that cleared it up.

I would play any country, except I dont want to ruin somebodys country. I'm a good player but still.
