I no longer see it right for me to vote for the German Progress Party, and cast my vote to the German Centre Party (Deutsche Zentrumspartei)! For a more human Germany!

DZP! A just and fair Germany is the only way forward.

Counted up the votes for no good reason.
DZP: 8
DFP: 6
NLP: 3
DFP: 2
SPD: 4( but actually 2 because of laws)
The Center is the leader currently, but NLP or DFP could catch up. I would urge my fellow Germans to vote for a powerful Germany. Vote DFP! A vote for DFP is a vote for Germany. (and it rhymes!)

I demand representation of the DKRP, this bias towards liberals and socialism is making me sad. :I

Oh man I did not notice that, the tally was missing the DKRP!, can't wait until we start looking and considering Asia in terms of colonial ambition.

Oops, sorry all conservatives. But to be fair you are trailing...
Here's your votes:
DZP: 8
DFP: 6
NLP: 3
NKRP: 2
SPD: 4( but actually 2 because of laws)
And I put DFP twice. :p

The NLP are still too aggressive, their goals and methods both potentially harmful and they hope to stay in power through populistic conformity rather than keeping true to their convictions.
The DFP, on the other hand, Seem to lose touch with reality and seek a way out of their previously experienced isolation through the NLP's methods! While some points of their program, most noticably the foreign policies along with my predicted stance towards Austro-Hungary, are still much more reasonable than the NLP's, I stand aghast in face of their continued plans of strengthening the Kulturkampf and centralization, as well as spreading our strength to play the game of naval domination despite our rivals' headstart.
Pragmatism must take precedence over sentiment if Germany is to become an acceptably governed state in the long run. I will reluctantly cast my vote for the Deutschekonservative Reichspartei.

Deutschekonservative Reichspartei I have supported the Conservatives from day 1 and I shall remain a true supporter of the Conservatives until the bitter end.

God, the socialists are popping up, Let's hope the socialist community does'nt find this AAR, then we will find SDP coming to power a little earlier than expected. :p

This is literally the only reason I voted for the anti-socialist laws.

The middle way will bridge the gaps, making Germany a warm home for all Germans.
Moderation, tolerance of creeds and tradition, regional liberty; the call for a government from the Centre is raised throughout the land.

I do wonder what the independent socialists will be able to achieve in this election. The laws repressing them are unjust, but it would be worrying indeed if their flawed views were to spread all the same.

Have to agree. Although Socialism is kinda my thing, in fact, being Red is in my blood (see what I did there?), seeing such an ahistorical surge of Socialism in interactive AARs over and over again makes you want to go whack-a-commie.

I often put the phenomena down to people applying today's accepted political norms to 19th c. politics. A lot of us are more liberal today than even the liberals of the 1800s, and so often shift things to the left as early as possible. This also explains the often ever-present über-reactionary opposition, who take combatting this (arguably) ahistorical left-wing-ness to the extreme. It is seldom that we see a nice, historical spread of ideologies – that is, a larger moderate/Tory presence with smaller 'radical' elements. When this does occur, however, it makes participating in IAARs really enjoyable.

I'm yet to get a chance to properly read the manifestoes, so I'll be back with my vote later.
