If we don't do it, we may loose democracy, freedom of speech, political freedom and many other liberal values and liberties. We must protect what he have, and not let that go to waste because we want a free-market, yes a free-market is important, but we have bigger things to loose.

Only problem I have with that particular party is the idea, especially NOW, of trying to roll back social reform. Other than that they are dandy.

We want higher individual freedoms. And casting away these regulations will lead to higer productivity and consumation which will in turn lead to higher employment.

Oh I also value God! But I think that religion is personal and that using force to get others to follow your religion, is not only un-jewish and un-christin, but worst of all highly reactionary and oppressive.

As I recall it DDP offered and alliance with the FVP and SDP, but that the latters wouldn't acknowledge that they needed DDP. So DDP turned to the right parties who understood that DDP was instrumental and followed their lead. However one time the DDP and the conservatives were also in a coalition, but they broke up due to economical questions, which lead to the DDP compromising with the FVP.

Only me and Herr Enewald. But we're not the entire party, and looking from past elections and governments the DDP party as a whole have proven to be quite willing to compromise to find a common ground. Just look at these two examples above.

The ones who scream the highest aren't necessairly the majority. The history of the DDP shows us the contrary.

If one are not willing to compromise because they have too strong convictions and will never go away from them, they are per definition dogmatic.

The DDP will give you: Calmness [in society], order, peace and freedom.

Indeed. Dogmatism can be a factor in people not willing to compromise, but one might as well say, going by your logic, that "obesity" and "chronic heart disease" are synonymous.
