100% warscore with a nation and they are forced to accept them if they have the coring range. You have the option of creating a client state, cancelling the vassalization, trucebreaking, forcing them to accept them then trucebreaking again to take them back. Insanely tedious, but don't miss a One Faith for a bug. I don't know how long you have left, but breathe and ask for help if you're stuck.

When you 100% a country they won't have any colonial range, because all their ports are occupied. So it is only possible if you attack a country that has a land border with your CNs.

They can have unrestricted coring distance if you are late enough in the game. But otherwise that's a good point I had completely forgotten about.

Ive noticed a new event that is like a border dispute between CNs and it has them exchange land between regions if they extend outside of it. I can't remember it exactly but i'm sure someone could find it in the event files.

For example my CNs in mexico and colombia exchanged land because mexico expanded into nicaragua where the two regions meet

The name of the event is "Intercolonial Disputes" - you can look in events/pretty_colonial_borders.txt for more details about it ;)

It's below the subject military focus button if you want to do that.
Thank you! I was looking for it under the actual options for interactions with each colony... damn!

After many useless wars on my former colonies, courtesy of their colonists, I managed to get the One Faith! Never again though :D really stressful

Is there any plan to fix this issue? I'm at 1800 and I'm starting to convert my colonial nations and I can just barely made it in time for my one faith run. I realized that 5 of them have their colonist stuck on settlement growth and the block settlement growth don't remove it.

I think the expected behaviour should be that if a colonist is currently doing it and a player press the button, it should be removed by the colonial nation / vassal.

I'll keep my game in hope that it can be salvaged.

You can release them as independent and then trucebreak in order to take the provinces and convert them yourself. It's ugly, but I doubt this is going to get fixed, like a lot of other issues that I follow.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I usually run with humanists ideas so I don't care much for religon convertion and I learned the hard way, on this run, that colonial nations don't convert religion since 1.28. I'm stuck with 100 provinces of the wrong religion with colonial nations. I convert at an average of 5 month per province with 5 missionnaries (18.5% missionary strength as France) so (12/5) * 5 * 20 = 120 provinces I can convert in 20 years. I'll try release/trucebreak but I think that I will run short on time. Oh well, I might try next time as Orthodox Byzantium and by disabling Dharma DLC.

Maybe you could remove one of your idea groups and pick religious instead? Only need to pick three ideas to get 1 extra missionary + 3% extra strength.

Already got religous. Also using the 5 policies that give +1 missionary strength (+1 adm policy from gouv reform and +1 for HRE). Using a +2% advisor, 3 stability, using the estate +1 missionary strength and every possible decisions hahaha.

This is going to make me fail my One faith... for two anglican provinces... I even tried to cede them in war but nobody wanted them... not even Portugal or Spain.

Yes, that's what I have the same doing one faith with Orthodoxy. Few Catholic provinces in America and many hours of play for nothing. I hope they finally fix it, because for many people it can break the game.

It Is not possible to add an option ti forbid them to colonise new provinces? It's very sad when a colonial nation starts colonising outside its colonial region
Strange that this post is getting so many negative votes. Isn't one of the reasons for the American revolution that the Brits tried to restrict the colonies from expanding beyond the Appalachians? It definitely should be a feature.

You can just grant independence to your colonial nation and attack them and take the provinces that you need to convert.
