I'm talking about sending colonist to new territory, is the option meant to block using colonist to boost their development?? If that's the case then sorry for misunderstanding itAre you talking about sending colonists to new territory, or using colonists to boost their development?
Settlement Growth is when you put a Colonist on an already existing province to improve its development. Colonies stepping outside their regions hasn't been fully addressed yet.I'm talking about sending colonist to new territory, is the option meant to block using colonist to boost their development?? I have a similar issue. My colony has settlement growth disabled, but still uses it on two provinces, preventing me from sending missionaries there. It’s very annoying.
I guess it happens because there are no other free spaces available to colonize? It should still not happen though.
There are now multiple instance of this feature not working but I still don't get what exactly causes it to bug out. Were there any specific situation in your save, or do you still have it with the colonist there to upload it?
I know, I did too, that's why I'm interested. Generally speaking, I've had better results by finding the Steps to Reproduce myself and handing them to Paradox than by expecting Paradox to find them. Thanks for the save, I'll look at it.

Ive noticed a new event that is like a border dispute between CNs and it has them exchange land between regions if they extend outside of it. I can't remember it exactly but i'm sure someone could find it in the event files.Hi,
Will there be plans to limit colonies to there colonial region? It always seems like a popular feature. It always frustrates me in ironman mode to see my colonies entering another colonial region.
