In normal circumstances I'd leave that station alone too but with all these malfunctions we already encountered... Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a bad thing.
Indeed. And from a spiritualist nation no less.this definitely sends a very good message to all AI universe wide
Indeed they are. Or are they? The dominoes are falling.
Well, yes. It is worrisome, isn't it?In normal circumstances I'd leave that station alone too but with all these malfunctions we already encountered... Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a bad thing.
I tend to agree.I'm with the advisor on this one. If anything, the fact that the AI has kept the station functional despite the absence of its normal complement of crew (or any crew at all) is less a "silver lining" and more a blaring alarm bell.
Nothing. Or everything. Who knows. I might or might not have got to a point where this unfolds before the game got corrupted. I am going somewhere with this, though. Now what could possibly be amiss.
there might be unknown forces at play.
The Advisor has as a good mind. But then, advisors are sometimes cursed to be ignored.
But then, advisors are sometimes cursed to be ignored.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?
Haha, lovely.I'd rather play global thermonuclear war, tbh.
True, it really is sad.Probably the most discussed philosophical question in the universe (or just Earth for all we now). A sad event though, even if reality shows that there will be no annihilation to come.
'Tis the curse of the anonymous advisor, yes.The Advisor has as a good mind. But then, advisors are sometimes cursed to be ignored.
Interesting thought...It stands to reason that, if no known external threat can bring society down, then either the AI has seen some pattern that everyone else has missed, or else the real threat in question is an internal one.
Yes, yes it is.Isn't that the *job* of the advisor? To be ignored?
Indeed.I wonder how many advisors have lived like Cassandra of Troy, screaming warnings to rulers who were either overconfident or willfully ignorant, only to get vindicated after the disaster falls. You're definitely right about it being a curse.
Not fanatical IIRC. I never built much robots myself, but I was allowed to have them. But I dunno how the rules are tbh, I don't tend to use robots much. As for reveals and plottwists, who knows.Actually, now that I think of it, aren't you Spiritual? How can you even have robot pops? I have a feeling though we'll get a plottwist or a reveal what's happening with all these AI.
Advisor note: Heavens, no. Aulendur, we should NOT. Please Madam, let us be reasonable here. We don't know where they came from or who made them. This is beyond troubling.
Wouldn't you?The Advisor is sounding increasingly frantic.
Oh, you know it.Yeah, I'm in the advisor's camp on this one. This is all kinds of bad.
Really now.Two words: "Trojan Horse."
