In normal circumstances I'd leave that station alone too but with all these malfunctions we already encountered... Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a bad thing.

I'm with the advisor on this one. If anything, the fact that the AI has kept the station functional despite the absence of its normal complement of crew (or any crew at all) is less a "silver lining" and more a blaring alarm bell.

This AI, it turns out, calcualated - wrongly, I might add - that war and destruction of our Confederacy is unavoidable. Probably the most discussed philosophical question in the universe (or just Earth for all we now). A sad event though, even if reality shows that there will be no annihilation to come.
The Advisor has as a good mind. But then, advisors are sometimes cursed to be ignored.
It stands to reason that, if no known external threat can bring society down, then either the AI has seen some pattern that everyone else has missed, or else the real threat in question is an internal one.
I wonder how many advisors have lived like Cassandra of Troy, screaming warnings to rulers who were either overconfident or willfully ignorant, only to get vindicated after the disaster falls. You're definitely right about it being a curse.

Actually, now that I think of it, aren't you Spiritual? How can you even have robot pops? I have a feeling though we'll get a plottwist or a reveal what's happening with all these AI.
Not fanatical IIRC. I never built much robots myself, but I was allowed to have them. But I dunno how the rules are tbh, I don't tend to use robots much. As for reveals and plottwists, who knows.
EDIT: Or was I fanatical? Really don't remember. Perhaps it's all one, big glitch.
