Gosh those elf portraits are pretty. I'm jealous because I only ended up with gnomes (or very ugly halflings) and tieflings in my game.
Anyway cool work so far.

Not so god fearing indeed, but at least they're not hostile (yet).
They are not exactly hostile,no. But they block my expansion. Not much common ground - but then one must make allowances for the unenlightened nature of other species.
Yes, but I DIDN'T GET IT.Wow, an 8 energy star, weird though they can't just make it a flat +8 instead of 2x +4 but hey, it's free energy so who cares!
He did learn a thing or two, yes.Yay, meticulous.
Truer words seldom spoken.A mistake, well as Dr Robert Ford (aka Anthony Hopkins) says "Evolution forged the entirely of sentient life ... using only one tool - mistake".
Standard for the galaxy size, not sure, but perhaps 12?Damn, I forgot how many AI nations you allowed but that's for sure bad RNG. Somehow I didn't had this happen to me yet though, even if playing on a 4 arm spiral galaxy. Maybe this happens more often if you're in a spiral galaxy? Though a plain circle is probably the biggest chance of encountering a nation blocking you off I suppose.
You mean fortify, buildup and attack? I'm on it.Most unfortunate. It appears one may be forced to undertake precipitous measures.
Yep, and it was a pleasant surprise that the starbase could do it!It is always nice when you can actually destroy an asteroid event chain like that.
Me neither. I was scrambling my fleet, but the asteroid was done for before it got there.I didn't know star bases could destroy it too - well it's obvious of course, but last time I had this was before 2.0, I can't really believe though that it's intentional that it passes by your starbase, pre 2.0 you always had to use your fleet. But besides that, obviously a praise to the gods as a thank you can't hurt right?
