Black Screen of Unplayability

Hey Everyone,

So I've been playing the game since release, and I reached the point where I got sick of my old, grid city, so I thought, hey! Why not download a bunch of mods and assets and start anew. So I've done that. Now with over 100 assets and 20ish mods enabled after a few minutes of play my game cuts to a black screen and there's nothing I can do.

I think it may be happening when the game autosaves (I have a 5min interval mod) which I added because I started a new city earlier this week and when I went to save it blackscreened. If anyone knows what the cause may be, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Mods don't always work as intended and can interfere with each other. There can be incompatibility between different mods wich lead to unwanted gameplay experience, loss of cities or even crashes.

I'm uninstalling mods right now and testing what's compatible, thank you

Uninstalled things that could have been conflicting and no solution yet :/

Now the game is starting with a bunch of random textures then cutting to a black screen (not the menus, just the simulation)

Hmmm that sounds like a corrupted savegame to me... I had that once with one of my cities... But it never occured again... The savegame was lost unfortunately.

Well it's a new game which is why I'm worrying. Uninstalled and reinstalling, it'll be a while though
