Bizzare Holy War Result

I was fighting a Holy War against a heretic count, who called his father into the war. (I think they split due to that event where the son can take one of the liege's titles.) When the war ended in my victory, I somehow not only gained the land of the count I was warring on, but his father became my vassal as well. I would post this in the bug report forum, but I can't figure out how to reproduce it.

If anyone has an idea of how this happened, please let me know so I can report the bug properly.

Did one of your adversaries die in the war? Maybe in the last battle or something? Could it be that just before you won the war one of the county holders inherited the other county?

The Lancastrian count in the first screenshot does not appear to be related to the count of Westmorland in the second screenshot (although he looks startlingly like your character). So maybe something else have happened.

Nope to any, unfortunately. The count of Lancaster is the son of the count of Westmorland (his (Lancaster's) hair changed when he was unlanded), and neither died before the end of the war. The count of Westmorland died about a year after the war ended, and the character I took Lancaster from inherited Westmorland from him, and is now my vassal.
