After obtaining bitter peace, how long will it sticks, I can see the soviets beginning to mass armies of up to 12 div in each bordering provinces. So do I need to put enough defence armies, seems waste of my resources.

It lasts as long as the normal peace treaty, you can see the end date in the diplomacy screen. After that they can DoW you normally.
The peace after BP is 18 months. I assume that is the same as other peace treaties as Olaus said but I don't usually sign any other peace treaties.
Has anyone ever seen the russian AI declaring war after the Bitter Peace is worn out ?
Not in my games. Usually at that point I'm so much stronger than them that it would be a suicide.
Kind of. In earlier versions it always used to DoW the baltic states if they were released and sometimes the soviets would DoW a puppeted Russia. Not sure if it's still the same in post 1.2 arma.
