For the banner of arms I say leave them as they are.

Hmm... so Milan, Florence, Tuscany, Habsburg, most German states, etc should have their banners "standing"? But the problem is nations were the CoA was part of the flag, like late Prussia with the eagle... they can only lie down...

Say, any tips for resizing? When I try to make something detailed smaller to fit these measurements, it get's blurry - like the Confederate battleflag, as an example. But I then look at Kaigon's EU2 version of it, and can't help but wonder how he got it smaller, yet kept the detail...

I always increase the color count to 24 bit. Most of the time they're only in 16 bit when you grab them off the web.

Oh, and some minor nitpicking: could you make the 'o' in 'of' with a normal letter instead of capital?

Actually, I'm making all brand new flags with your nice template...

Well I just thought that maybe they weren't so happy about people taking stuff from one of their games and then give it away freely for another game... well dunno, maybe I'm just being too cautionous...
