Hi everyone,
I just got the distant star DLC. and of course modding need to start over again for this.
The new Trinary and Binary system were great. But I am not understand how they work

Can a binary system spawn like tinary, B star locate beyond the last planet of A star system, like tinary?
Can a tinary system spawn like binary, B C star are all locate in the central, or just B star is in the central, C star still outside?

Thank you very much.


btw, I just read the star_classes file. seems we need to define more binary star classes to make more combination for different star classes of binary/trinary...so stupid

Star position is defined solely in solar_system_initializers. So yes, you can place star wherever you want.
I know but how to implement the Sirius B like Alpha Centauri B/C, not in center of the system? Thank you

From what I can gather, you should treat Second star as a planet, and use moon syntax for planet orbiting it. First you should define all main star, then its planets, then a second star and all its planets inside its code.

no, this is the method for old version of game.
I just got it, use change_orbit with negative value to send 1st planet back to star A
