I think this would be a good feature to implement. There have been numerous instances throughout history whereby two nations at war have made peace by exchanging territories to each other.
I think it would work very well in EU4. Maybe it could be limited to cores and claims. For example, if France and Spain were at war. France had a claim on Girona and Spain had a claim on Bearn, why not exchange the provinces to each other to make peace? There's nothing stopping them from trying to reclaim the territory in a subsequent war. Or if not claims, at least it should work for cores. This would add a new dimension to the game, as well as be somewhat historically realistic.
