Big negative threat after forced subjugation

so i have subjugated (well made a subsidiary) the neighbour megacorp.

but they seem to be disloyal with a huge negative threat from me, how do I fix that? Is thil a bug or its supposed to be that way? All others, including guys who had def pact w them, only have a threat of -12 or so

i've had them -350 before from threat. i think threat is just calculated on size of territory. you can integrate them while they are disloyal tho. so i just do that and then rerelease them as a much more loyal vassal unless i want to keep all that empire sprawl.

I see you already made a favorable trade deal with them. That's the only thing I know which can appease them (and only of 100 relations).

Threat wears off with time, in my experience. And it never happened to me that someone supported their independance (I'm not saying its impossible, although...). I think however that if you become very weak they might ask for independance.

At 0 (or +1) they become loyal. So you are not that far.
