Not the respectful, constructive topical part I can promise.I love when Havamal posts. I always feel the need to look around to see what part of the forum history has changed![]()
....have you tried turning it off and back on again?![]()

If they open a modding section here that's where I'll be.
I will say I prefer people who have actually played the game whining over people pre-whining over a game they haven't played![]()
ROFL you think that the release is going to stop it? It is just going to get worse, at least for awhile. The flood of new people who just bought the game and never came to the forums will most likely be epic and hilarious to read. For me however I will have to see it a month or so after it happens because I will be playing the game not coming back to the toxic waste dump for site seeing.![]()
Since this is the bickering thread:
It really grinds my gears when someone does the "respectfully disagree" when they stubbornly want wishful thinking to trump deductive reasoning. Sigh.![]()
The whole down-voting, thumbs down, whatever the [mod edit: Keep it closer to E for everyone language, please]you want to call it thing is a stupid premise to begin with. Nine times out of ten its because there is a misunderstanding and the person who down votes isn't willing to understand what the other person is trying to say and only wants to exert some kind of control over someone else.
Its not rocket science. If you're a stand-up comedian performing in front of a full audience, and only get 2 laughs from a joke, its not a good joke. Its not like the comedian stands there and says, 'Well, what did you think? Was that funny?' Silence says more than anything to a performer.
Then there is the professionals who do nothing but farm the down-votes as there little way of getting attention.
And Imma pro at getting attention.

At least then people will be complaining about actual problems with the game instead of making them up.

It's petty, but I'm to the point where if someone downvotes something of mine with no subsequent input or explanation, I go back through their profile and determine whether I think they've contributed anything of substance. If they haven't, they go on my ignore list. My definition of "substantial" is pretty generous - the folks with zero posts who've been here for a couple months and simply click "disagree" are not people I'm interested in. I'm happy to butt heads with folks, even if we don't agree at the end of the day, so long as they can cogently stake out a position.
No, 2+2=22. Because I want 22; 4 is too few.Let's see how many disagrees I can get.
2+2=4
Bring on the hate!!!!![]()

That way we can all log in and start killing each other.Everyone is a minority. There is no one on planet earth who is exactly like you...You are genetically and spiritually unique.
If everyone thought this way, what a wonderful world we would have....with Battletech...on the 24th....
HBS's forums had no screw-you button and things were great. You know, it probably does actually bring down the overall number of shitposts since people can just hit a button when they don't like something but have no leg to stand on in actual debate. That little X gets a lot of use around here when things like inclusivity come up. I hate to think of what would happen if it wasn't there.
I get annoyed when someone respectfully disagrees with me after I'm simply posting quotes and facts, just because it doesn't fit with their world view. The whole down-voting, thumbs down, whatever the [mod edit: Keep it closer to E for everyone language, please]you want to call it thing is a stupid premise to begin with.
