...I was wondering why Khan 2.0 in this latest reboot, lived and was put back into cryo-sleep at the conclusion of the Star Trek Into Darkness. It leaves the door open for more Khadish Goodness down the road.

So I just found some information on Star Trek 2019 that I had not been aware of.
It's slated to be the first R-rated Star Trek movie. Will be directed by Quentin Tarantino. Will incorporate time travel and have Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as George Kirk.

Both the 2019 and 2021(?) Star Trek movies are discussed. Tarantino has the 2021(?) movie and it does indeed look to be an R-rated one. While the 2019 Star Trek movie will include Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as George Kirk.
Still all the same information, but it makes more sense to me spread across 2-movies. Plus who knows, the idea of an R-rated Star Trek flick could still be snuffed out.
Well, Abrams didn't know how to make a Star Trek movie, so they might as well get another director that has even less of a clue.

They need to quit trying to turn Star Trek into Star Wars, especially since they're making Star Wars movies worse than the prequels now.
I do like Archer. I'm not sure I'd give him the best spot either, however I do think he was a very good captain.
Overall I really liked Enterprise. I think the show's biggest problem was it was at the tail end of the other shows (starting with TNG), and therefore I think it suffered from audience fatigue of the franchise as whole. Had Enterprise come after TNG or DS9, I think it would have lasted much longer and been much more successful.
Maybe, as long as they focused on exploration and not the stupid “Time War” plot hook. Which would admittedly have been easier if it came before DS9 or Voyager.

The difference is, Meyer succeeded, Abrams....well there were pretty lens flares and some explosions.
