Hello everyone
So i just bought the new dlc to play as greece and do the megali idea and go byzantine and my problem is that every time i use ressurect the megali idea and choose which country i want to help me UK and France decline and i'm forced to go solo and my question is does anyone know the % chance they will accept? and i don't know if it's a bug or not but why the f# can bulgaria remove my cores(thus losing manpower which greece already doesn't have) and getting the entire macedonian-thrace region when we are in the same faction with out me being able to decline it or atleast get a wargoal or something?

thanks in advance

Not sure about the chances, but I did four mini-runs as Greece so far (two Ironman) and the Anglo-French accepted twice, the French alone once, and once they refused to attend.
  • When both Britain and France accepted and joined the war, I had maximised their opinion, as well as completed the Luxury Exports focus (for additional opinion modifiers) and been completely uncooperative with the EEE.
  • When both accepted but only France joined the war, I had done likewise, but I had cooperated with EEE in a single event popup.
  • When both refused to even attend, I had been cooperative with the EEE and collaborated with them (basically going for a Byzantine run anyway). This prompted a fascist coup against the democratic government, despite EEE having only about 25% of the pie; I went for it anyway.
  • Inviting Italy is irrelevant. In one of the runs, they consented to everything, weren't called to war, and still got territories around Bodrum and Antalya in the peace deal, only to lose them to my forces the moment they went to war with the Allies. Just try and take the territories for yourself; you can core at least half of Turkey's southern coast with decisions.
In all scenarios, I only used the starting 13 divisions (upgraded slightly to various extents, such as 7/2 elite mountaineers with AA, and at least some of the line infantry being 7/2 with AA; all in one of the runs; and keeping my cavalry division for exploitations).

I also produced some light divisions (composition varied per playthrough, but in general consisting of 3 to 5 infantry under low priority equipment reinforcement) to hold my major ports (2-3 in each, per run) with a few more and 1-2 line divisions holding Chios and Lesbos (North Aegean islands) together with some of the reserve infantry (kept losing Lesbos, but Chios remained a good enough distraction to take away 4-8 Turkish divisions from Eastern Thrace and Syria, where it usually made a difference).

In all cases (solo, allied with France, or allied with France and the UK) the war was over by 1939 latest and didn't require any exploitation (such as Feedback's constant encirclements in Eastern Thrace) to pull off. The moment Italy went to war, I just occupied the Dodecanese and Greater Greece was a thing.

Don't join a faction with Bulgaria at least until the issue with the occupation transfer is resolved (or at all, if you want a historical rivalry run).

Thanks for these details on your experiments with the Megali focus. I was able to follow your advice as democratic Greece, saved myself from several re-starts by picking the right focuses on the first try. Much appreciated!
