The race for airpower continued as the Americans rolled off bran new P-51 Mustangs. These high altitude fighters had incredibly long range and decent firepower with 6 .50cal machine guns. They were then sent to Germany and flown by many German pilots becoming aces in a day. The American P-51s made short work of the Soviet MiG 3s and LaGG 3s, both incredibly inferior to the American P-51.

In South America all was going well, War was declared on Columbia on April 8th and they were annexed exactly one month later. A lot of white powder was found, nobody knew what it was. In the meantime, out west the Japanese joined the Axis along with Siam 10 days later on the 15th of June. Siam was almost immediately overrun by British India forces, however they were soon stopped by the Japanese forces. At this time the Americans began their conquest for Central America. War was declared on Panama, it was a systematic annexation. After one country fell, the next would be taken over, the war was going very well, both in America and in Europe. By June 30th German forces were past Moscow and near the Urals. Following was a massive revolt in South America. Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil all joined the allies in an attempt to keep America out. Fritz was hoping they would overrun Argentina so he could take what was rightfully his. Unfortunately for Fritz Argentina annexed Uruguay and captured southern Chile, as well as a part of Paraguay.
The Marines came into action once more when they landed in Belem on December 12th unopposed. After the entire area was secured 6 Infantry divisions, 12 Mech Divisions and 9 more Marine divisions made their way in. It looked like Brazil was in for a beating. By march 18th Americans controlled all of northern Brazil and were slowly working their way south to secure as much of Brazil as they could before Argentina took the land.

On the 3rd of March the work was finally complete on a project for a bomber that could fly across the Atlantic ocean from Halifax, bomb England and fly back. This new bomber was the B-29. It was the next heavy bomber following the B-17 by Boeing. The new B-29 was nicknamed the Superfortress as it carried 12 machine guns with pressurized cabins with an altitude of 35,000+ feet. It carried two enormous bomb bays and an incredibly large bomb load. Even with the increased weight it could fly faster than any other strategic bomber in the world.

As war progressed in Brazil the Americans kept moving head on, to take as much land as they could before the Argentinians could interfere with their progress. Americans were already outside of Rio de Janiro and kept moving forward. It was in Rio when the Americans met their first real opposition and were forced to fall back on the 24th of May. Two months later a second push was made from all sides of the city, the Marines in the north and the Mech Divisions from the west and south. The city was taken by the 15th of August and the country was annexed on the 19th. Continuing the pace in South America war was declared on Ecuador on September 5th, at the same time Paraguay was annexed on the 29th of September. Ecuador followed the same path and was annexed not long after on October 15th, followed by Peru on the 18th of November. Bolivia was the last south American country to face annexation by the Americans on the 6th of March. Chile was then annexed by Argentina two days later on the 8th. Peace had finally come to South America…for now.

Meanwhile in Europe the Germans were far passed the Ural Mountains, in the south they pushed through India and into Indo China. The only real force remaining in Europe was England, and Fritz made sure he would have land in Europe. Many of the marines fighting in South America were gathered up in Rio and were then transported to Halifax where they would make the long stride to land on British soil. Two days after new years it happened. January 3rd was the day when the South Western tip of England was made American after 18 Marine divisions landed on the beaches. Belfast was taken by 6 Infantry divisions as well and served as an airport in which B-25s and new B-26s could land.

I learned something though, America and Germany on the same side...makes for quite the easy game.
that should always be true. after all, if you think of most of us in North America as being descendent's of German stock... (either directly, and/or thru the Anglo-Saxons and/or the French ! !)

OH, is it time for MORE? MORE! !
