Why don't you just play the same time as every other Multiplayer game? 19.00 to 23.00 CET. 10 AM on the west coast.

that would be nice

I think we are all waiting for the new version to come out before anything else. I am also sure that we can fill empty spots with people who helped create the mod, it is always fun beating someone who is playing a nation they helped make :)

I can play, at least I will give it a try.

I am a working man, father and husband, and these are my priorities. The time for this is perfect for me, as my son is in bed and it is only one night out of the week.

However, it will mean three hours fewer that I actually work on Interregnum, so that is another sacrifice.

I'd like it if we decided in advance which nations we would have in the game, rather than just throw out ideas.

We cannot, for example, have the Caliphate unless we have Egypt or Byzantium or at least the Kingdom of Jerusalem in play, otherwise there is nothing to balance out that potential behemoth.

If we have Al-Andalus, Byzantium, Caliphate, TO, then the natural other additions are Bavaria and Kalmar, two of the other states that begin very big (or with lots of early potential in the case of Bavaria). But maybe we could all start with countries that are five provinces or less in 1419?

Bavaria or Swabia is a must, in all this. I personally don't think we need (nor do I want) an Al-Andalus; in its placed we could have another French nation (Burgundy vs. Britanny, perhaps?). Hanseatic League or Kalmar Union are good choices, and Byzantium is practically a must.

So here's how I think it should be:

-Brittany
-Burgundy/Savoy
-Swabia/Bavaria
-Hanseatic League/Kalmar Union
-Teutonic Order
-Genoa
-Byzantium
-Caliphate/Egypt

But I'll accept whatever decision MattyG and panther make on it.

Al is kind of important IMHO. Also, Swabia is flexible, if theres a genoa it doesn't really matter, it's route of expansion can be into germany, especially if Bavaria is AI....

I'm Teutonic Order for the obvious reason, that I intend to go 'vendetta' on a few nations, who have been... 'modded'.

On a related note: KoJ NEEDS SOME SERIOUS WORK ON IT'S EVENTS. Their dated, and it's noticeable. Also, after I'm done with Saxony, I'm doing Lotharingia, but after that I'm going to do the most obvious which is the formation of the Boyar League *Russia*, and not in response to major nations, but Russians forming it.

Maybe not the best location for these comments. They could have gotten lost here.

In what way do you feel the KoJ events are 'dated'. Please be specific.

I could play Abbasid Caliphate, depending on what time you play in CET time (I have no idea what Central US time is in comparison).

I'm looking forward to an interesting 400 years of struggle between the Christian and Moslem nations of the world.

Look it up.

Well I found it after all, and it's a completely unacceptable time for me, so I'm out unless you decide to play earlier (or later). Not willing to play in the middle of the night when i'm tired and whiny, even less than I would want to wake up early in the morning.

Burgundy has preference over Brittany, it allows for France to come back into power. Also, technically Teutonic order lacks german culture, so it's not going to entirely benefit from expanding into Germany, as much as it would into other uh 'areas' ;P.

Swabia is more important quite frankly then Bavaria in some ways, it can easily gain over 80 income per phase before the end of the 15th century, and is a total powerhouse, as far as number of cores/possible core go. Especially for a European nation. Regardless, what you guys are all largely forgetting is this.

Caliph most likely will be dowed by everyone that can possibly dow the caliph, at the start of the game, in an attempt to destroy him. You also have to remember the Caliph does have more manpower, but he's also poorer then the Europeans. Even with India.
