When I wanted to play an older version of EU IV, I found out that the mods were already updated. So I couldn't play with them anymore.
Is it possible to make iron man compatible mods work on any version of EU IV? Or at least make it possible to start the game without checking whether the mod is supporting the version of the game. If the mod isn't working the game will crash anyway, but not starting the mod because the mod supports a newer version of the game seems a little bit weird.
I'd appreciate in game options to change font, font size, border thickness, fog of war, sea, etc. I also love the map mode bar - having the small worldmap and all map modes available at the same time.
Thanks.

It's not that simple. Every patch adds some 'words' which can be used in mod making. And all modders do use them instantly. The thing is that any older version of the game does not understand these new 'words'.
The only way around is to make the modders posting newer and older versions simultaneously. But that's pretty inconvenient for another reason: All mods are permanently developed, fixing bugs etc. If a modder (or team of modders) had to do this job not only for the latest version, but also for all, or some of the older ones, it would be a messy and tedious job.
