While this may seem petty, and irrelevant, it would be a somewhat easy change to do (I think?) and would improve gameplay.

So, I'm sure we have all seen it, where a nation has a ruler who's name is just plain... wierd. My main example is Ernest Augustus for England, this is a name that none of England or its successors' rulers have ever had, I believe the game would be much improved if the list for names was changed, maybe to any nations historical rulers from ~1400 to the present day/end of monarchy, and maybe a couple more 'sensible' (I'm not sure this is the right word, but I mean any name a ruler would be likely to have,) names.

You could even ask the community to do the research for you, I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to help, I'll even give a list of the names of England/Great Britain/the United Kingdom's rulers since 1000: William, Henry, Stephen, Edward, Richard, John, Mary, Elizabeth, James, Charles, Oliver (though he wasn't a King), Anne, George, Victoria. I would also add Sophia, as she was the person who was supposed to succeed Anne; Arthur; and perhaps a few others.

Some genera

Feel free to criticise or expand on my suggestion as you wish, or post a list for your own nation.

But Europa Universalis is not historical. Perhaps you made some Royal Marriages, dynasties mixed up and you got that Ernesto guy. Personally I don't see such details so I don't mind (although general called "Semen" made me chuckle, I guess it was meant to be "Semyon").

Unhistorical does not mean unrealistic, and while it could be that through whatever means, an Ernest Augustus ended up on the English throne, it isn't very plausible, and you could justify many other things people dislike with a 'Perhaps ...' explanation.

I believe these names are used for all people in your nation (Advisors, Genrals, Traders, Diplomats) so if you don't want to end up with extremely repetative names throughout the game, you just have to put up with it. Also this could be fixed by simply implementing the "Name your heir" functionality that many have been craving. :) I would even be OK with the drop-down list that lets you pick from the current roaster of names.

You should be glad with your western European monarchs...

9/10 of Georgian rulers are named Vakhtang
Almost all Circassian rulers and advisors are Belzebuk or Petrezok... WITH REPETATIVE NAMES! (i mean, Alex Alex, Ernest Ernest, Mary Mary doesn't make sense right?)
Trebizond and Theodoro has weird weird Turkish surnames... also Theodoro should have more Germanic names on it maybe, rather than Hellenic names.
