Can we please go back to the CK2 model of marriages giving automatic nonaggression pacts instead of alliances. If you have a lot of kids (and you often do) it makes it harder to find marriages for younger kids because there is now a penalty for having too many alliances. Besides there is historical precedent for marriages simply meaning nonaggression between two kingdoms instead of full-blown alliance. Also could y'all add in more options to increase or even decrease acceptance chance like dowries of money, land, or making alliances an option here. As well as a few events to make things more interactive like there being events for courtship while they are betrothed which could increase and decrease each other's opinion.

Given that the game is about dynasties, I agree that marriages are not fleshed out. There are no negotiations before the marriage and nothing happens throughout the married life except (incessant!) baby popping and cat allergies. It is a bit odd that you can negotiate the release of prisoners in detail but have no options when arranging a marriage for yourself or your child.

And then, of course, there is the problem with the game thinking that incest was okay for medieval Catholic and Orthodox Christians.

I strongly support this. In order to get alliances from marriages should require some favor trading and diplomacy.

For example, I am the duke of Prussia, I am pagan, and I am bordering a large and threatening Poland. The king of Poland has a young daughter and I don't have a wife. Now normally he wouldn't agree to the marriage, but I offer him a few things, notably I agree to be Christianized and perhaps agree to swear fealty to the king of Poland.

Or as another example, I am the powerful duke of York, and the King of England wants to marry my intelligent and beautiful sister. I could say no, however as a powerful duke, I want something out of this notably I want to either have low taxes or exempt from taxation. so the marriage goes through, my sister is now queen of England, and I as the duke of York now am free from paying the king taxes so I can fund my own projects.
