Kruslow walks into the room, his military uniform stunning as always, as he surveys the room, he sees the faces of the nervous councillors, these people were clearly worried as to Poland’s future, Kruslow would have to ease these peoples minds.
“Good Morning councillors, and I trust you all had a pleasant spring?, well, as pleasant as a Polish spring can be anyway eh”
The councillors laughed, relieving some tension
“Very well, now to business, what is the current situation in Spain?”
“well, at the start of April the nationalists appeared to have the upper hand"
"Shortly after this image was made, Franco captured Valencia, and split the republic in two, the war is effectively turned now, it seems certain that the Nationalists will win”
“well now, this may be good news, whereas before we supported the republicans, if we were to go into an alliance with Germany, as planned, then Nationalist Spain could turn out to be a powerful friend” gleamed Kruslow.
Kruslow continues the meeting:
“Now as you know, we desire to enter an alliance with Germany, so last week an offer was sent….unfortunately the Germans refused us, now then, are there any other matters to address?”
“Yes my lord, Japan has invaded China, and war has been declared”
“Well, that is unfortunate, however there is little that we can do about it, well if that’s all then Gentlemen, I’ll see you in September, goodbye”
