Well now its time to cross fingers lol hope its 5th time lucky for me nver was able to get into a Beta for a Paradox game lol hope its not a 6th disapointment.

do you REALLY want a beta tester who doesn't have the initative or wherewithall to go find the forum and make a post???

To those who may get disappointed by not being let in on their first beta, I can tell you what you missed out on: a LOT of work. And even work that you don't get payed for!

Oh, yeah - you get to see the game before everyone else. And perhaps play something (depending on the level of completion the beta has). But that's about it. The rest is likely a long row of entering things into a database, reproducing errors x times and a hell of a lot of reboots etc. It does have a tendency of killing the fun in the game.

If you expected the option to play a new game for free, no strings attached, forget it. Lazy betas are usually dumped for obvious reasons.

I'm speaking out of personal experience though I never did a beta for Paradox. I haven't applied either 'cause I have a family.

Perhaps a previous betatester for Paradox would like to comment on this and let us know if betaing Paradox is the same kind of slavegalley?

from my experience with fiddling with victoria files, i know im totally sick of the game for at least a day after finishing a torturous mod session, including shutting down and starting victoria 300 times . for hoi 2 it prolly wouldve made me thoroughly sick of the game for at least a year after release .

this may be just sour grapes, mind you

Indeed. Betatesting entailed many of us to work into the wee morning hours struggling to meet deadlines. You guys better be willing to put lots of hours into this. I want a GREAT game!

Definedly not going to happen. All regions are to be covered as equally as possible, depending on the applications of course.
