I guess I won't be able to continue my one-province tall game, heh

(Didn't specifically cheat, but created a Custom Hamburg with 800 points, selecting some godly trade ideas, Free City government and -20% to development cost)

In the last beta, the army tradition bonus from forts being only related to development can mean that sometimes even with a fort in every province, if you're quite developed then you can't get the full bonus. Has that been adjusted to account for number of provinces as well?

I posted in the last beta thread but too close I think to that thread being superseded by this one.

Starting a new game with 1.13 cff0, (1492 date), and set up a colony... Colony income is working fine. Looks like it gets broken when transfering from an earlier beta patch, then...?

That is full diff from prev beta.
Also, not in the notes:

-Max attrition modifiers from the winters and Looted modifiers were removed
-The Dog's Life seven cities event won't trigger if the nation already has the opinion modifiers given by the event towards the native. Also various info events letting the country know about the other guy getting those opinions were removed. And those opinion modifiers were doubled.
-The Monastic Order government got a new "monastic = yes" modifier which I have no clue what it does.
-The Lingering Plague modifier gives -50% supply limit instead of attrition for enemies and max attrition
-The cost penalty for going over naval forcelimit was increased
-The AI will now look at the trade power in the province, instead of development, when deciding whether it will want to build the marketplace building
-A new province_trade_power trigger
-Some provinces in the British Isles were renamed (to have "shire" at the end of the name).

Thanks for the quick fix Wiz, really made my day :) The minor bugs I have noticed so far:
-There is a bug with the music, very minor and unimportant bug though. The same music starts replaying if the music ends at the same time of the autosaving, and the next music starts suddenly after finishing saving. This is especially more noticable while playing ironman.
-I am sure you noticed this, at the country selection screen, the kingdom rank symbol is at the top of the ironman text. (I don't know how to say it properly in English, but I hope you understand :D )
I really appreciate you doing this even when you are at holiday. Thank you again and have fun :)

Did they fix Jan Mayen losing Imperialism on game reload? Not a huge issue I know but it is annoying when you want them to conquer the world.

New not linear scale for cost of development is great. But Terrain types almost make no sence now.
For example, terrain: wood +15% cost of development.
Every level of developmpent increase developments cost now:
by 3% for level 0-10
by 6% for level 11-20
by 9% for level 21-30

So wood terrain = 2-3 developments levels are lost.
I think, it is too litle and patch needs now buff for terrain types.
Or terrain modificators must stack multiplicatively, not addictively.

I disagree. There's already a significant hit from terrain type in the building slot count.

I think it would be better to just alter the terrain in Holland/friesland to farmland and grassland rather than keep all this by-decision development cost nonsense. Terrain types overall I think need a rebalancing with dev cost maluses, especially woods and forest regions, which imo might be deserving of a very small inherent dev cost reduction to illustrate the ready availability of fresh timber.

I have been playing a Nassau-->HRE game, and I must say that the 10 years for no offensive war assistance *really* hammers the HRE in terms of protecting/liberating small nations.

It also looks like going to war to free those provinces is not really doing a whole lot of anything. It would be better for me to just sit at peace than go liberate provinces.

I don't get it. When I did this in the past, I could easily build up points to pass reforms. Now, all it seems like I am doing is pissing people off without really getting any Imperial Authority.

What gives, Paradox?

The thing i dont like about the latest development change is that it makes development bonuses like tropical wood, economy/national ideas and University in particular, feel so insignificant on high development provinces.

Say you have a 40 development province with +180% development cost from existing develoment and no other modifiers.
Plop an university (-20% development) there and you get it down only to 160% , 130 vs 140 monarch points which is just a ~7% difference.
Add just two development levels and its up to 184% again.

I think certain one-province specific bonuses like "Free City", "Capital" and "University" should reduce base development cost by 5 ( so base 50 becomes 45, 40 ... ) instead of percentage. Economy and national ideas staying as they are feels ok, as those are strong enough anyway.
