OFFENSIVE_WAR_COOLDOWN = 10, -- Years between when you can call a country into an offensive war on your behalf

What is the logic behind this? Your allies already accrue WE, debt, etc. that affects their willingness to join wars. Yet another style of gameplay (being the delegator) is diminished.

The trade updates skyrocketed my income of the Netherlands. I am making an extra 20 ducats a month with my 80 frigates

edit: U may also want the re balanced the reclamation of Amsterdam decision as you pay 50 admin to get 25% less development once is not worth it if it is meant to be permanent then that inst work.

Very similar results here playing in observe. Russia did colonise Siberia, but no one's colonising the New World, and the Reformation occurred way too early.

Yes Russia does fine they even absorbed parts of Finland and parts of Sweden

Poland however wasted much diplo points on integrating Lithuania despite being just 2 techs from forming Commonwealth

Noone can colonize the new world, reformation in 1460 and justify trade conflict seems broken. There goes my colonizer Hansa game haha. Off to watch a movie..

It's definitely 0.04 for me in game. Are you sure you're not confusing light ships and galleys? Galleys have 0.03 ducats maintenance now.
No. Nothing to do with galleys.

I'm just comparing the light_ship_maint_factor in defines,lua. It was reduced from 0.05 to 0.03. How that translates into precise in-game maintenance costs has always been a bit wonky. In theory, it should be that number times the ship cost. But, in practice, it's always seemed an order of magnitude and some rounding off. But if my understanding of, even part of, the formula is correct, LS maintenance costs should be ~60% of what they were.

I tried colonization as Ternate, well you can only colonize provinces next to yours. It seems like the game doesn't calculate the range of overseas (can be in same region but not touching) province.

Advancing DIP tech increases ship maintenance costs. Maybe that's what the other user was seeing?


RE: the colonization bug -- well, this is our chance, for a single day, to play a ridiculous custom game loading the Americas with a bunch of nations and playing there without any European spoilsports messing everything up :D

I tried colonization as Ternate, well you can only colonize provinces next to yours. It seems like the game doesn't calculate the range of overseas (can be in same region but not touching) province.
Yeah. Loaded up a 1.12.? Hansa game. Colonial range clearly not being calculated for either exploration missions or actual colonial range. Could colonize territories adjacent to existing colonies, only.

Some while ago save games on Linux was moved to another folder from where they used to be? Have they been moved to a new folder yet again? Because otherwise the game cannot even find the old saves.
