Brabant is NOT a Netherlands core. Is this WAD?

Neither is the province Ghent or any of the wallonian provinces that are part of the region 'The Netherlands' (Artois, Hainaut, Liege, Luxemburg, Valenciennes and Namur).

What parts of the lowlands declared their independence / were part of the original Netherlands?

Should all dutch and flemish provinces get a Netherlands core when the Netherlands are formed?

For the love of god can we please have a PROPER PATCH NOW? Sorry, but this is getting rediculous. No really it is, release whats done atleast, you are losing sales if people dont see problems fixed as most people dont come to forums because they dont care enough, they just wont buy more DLC/XP in the future.

It's not trivially represented in-game, but:

The original constituent provinces of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands were the Duchy of Gelre, the Counties of Holland and Zeeland, the city of Utrecht, the Lordship of Overijssel, the free provinces of Friesland and Groningen, and the unrepresented (and untaxed) lordship of Drenthe.

The Peace of Westphalia assigned to the Republic of the United Netherlands regions designated as Staats-Vlaanderen (probably about half the in-game province of Vlaanderen), Staats-Brabant (roughly matching the game's provinces of Antwerpen and Breda), and Staats-Limburg (roughly matching the game's province of Limburg; the Treaty of Utrecht further yielded Staats-Oppergelre (the parts of the game's Gelre province that they didn't already have, AFAICT).

So basically, the in-game Netherlands formation event lets you build the historic 16th-18th century United Republic of the Netherlands, rather than the post-Napoleonic United Kingdom of the Netherlands (which further included the areas represented in-game as Luxemburg, Brabant, Liège, Ghent, and some more of the province of Vlaanderen).

I am interested if these are WAD:
1) Requesting a cored province in a defensive war has an infamy cost of 3 (not 0);
2) The force convert mission does not provide a CB.

You only get to request your cores at zero Infamy cost if you're requesting them directly from the person you DoW'd with a Reconquest CB, or from the person who DoW'd you with a Reconquest CB.

2) The force convert mission does not provide a CB.
It does. For a day. Then the game notices you don't have Unam Sanctam and takes away your CB. So, probably not WAD.

Has anyone noticed that if you have lots of fleets they get given army names, rather that fleet names? Si I have, for instnace, the 50th Army - which is actually a carrack.

I've had those army named fleets but I think I've only gotten them when I've used the 'split'-function on a fleet?

Posting to say I'm also having problems disbanding the Shogunate. It's kind of putting a crimp to put the finishing touches to my Asia-spanning Hindustan. :(

Is there a bug report for this up yet?

The database tends to give countries cores in provinces they currently control, no matter how short a period of time the polity controlled the province in question. For example, if the Timurids held a province for 5 years, and you start the game in those 5 years, they will have a core in that province. Considering that the guideline for obtaining cores is 50 years' ownership, this is odd. I prefer to give 1399 cores in a province only to countries that controlled that province for a significant part of the 1400-1450 period. (This means that Persia doesn't start with any cores in what will be Persia 100 years later. This is OK: because the other countries aren't Persian culture, the rebellion system will create Persian cores in the area over time.)

This is interesting. If you've already done the work, might I trouble you for a list of which provinces were taken when?

The problem seems to be that the shogunate will not disband on savegames started before June 29th.

Does the event fire repeatedly when all the conditions are met but never seem to work? If so, that's your problem.

(I think I just broke a record for the best typed accidentally infomercial impersonation)

Odd. Have you tried saving and reloading after the event fired? It might take a reload to remove the shogunate mechanism.

Yes, no change.

What's silly about this is that in the Eighty Years War scenario, the Netherlands has cores on the entire Lowlands.

I am going to revive the plea for fixing the CTD on exit. I cannot speak for others, but it pretty much freezes my machine for a variable time whenever I exit. It can be just a few seconds, OTOH I've seen it stay frozen for the duration of a cigarette (avg 5 minutes, for me.)
