yep, that's good, because they already have to deal with hordes while having a sh**ty tech group.

Not sure about the Russian mission love. That will help a player go from Musocvy to Russia but it won't help the AI go from surviving russian minor to Russia. The Player forming Russia is not the problem. The AI being able to do it is. The help needs to be more generic, so that someone else can pick up the torch if Muscovy get eaten in the first 30 years. It also probably needs to be a bit greater. Although I may just go and try out a Russia game to see how much I can benefit from them...

P.S. The Tver mission should probably changed to annex rather than vassaliSe as well...

I didn't even get a chance to download yesterday's beta. And the horde tweaks are nice. Still think attrition should be worse for them.

Johan, could you please modify the Army Screen as you linked here:

So that it has Infantry on the top, then Cavalry, and then Artillery on the bottom?

(I haven't had a chance to see if you already did this with "Swapped order of infantry and cavalry in one tooltip to be consistent.")

Also, any thoughts on adjusting Moscovy and Ryzan to be paying tribute to the Golden Horde at game-start, as Novogord does? I am not sure how effective "AI more willing to pay tribute" would be, if the Russian states loses too much territory before they agree/offer to pay tribute. Personally I cannot stand seeing that region go Islamic so early, since it historically remained intact as an Orthodox core.

Well, I did a quick test run and the GH managed to bite bits off Lithuania, swallow Moldavia and half of Wallachia and either made a truce with or received tribute from everybody else. Around 1420 first GH provinces were occupied and around 1430 major parts were being sieged by a happily expanding Muscovy and (unfortunately) the Ottomans.

Anyway, I probably cannot say that from one test-run, but it certainly seems to be a great improvement!

Exciting updates, Johan! I can't wait to test it out. I get the feeling you are wrapping up this patch, so while the hordes have your attention I would like to point out that there are several horde countries (all appearing later than 1399) that still have government = tribal_federation and technology_group = muslim. I assume they should change to government = steppe_horde and technology_group = nomad_group.

Furhtermore, Tribal Succession Crisis has a 10-province minimum to fire, which I think is needless. Let the smaller hordes have their fun too.
