Its not about rights or how easy it is to register. To me it feels wrong and this feeling won't change any time soon. I'd call it principle but it may be the wrong word. I don't want to hijack the thread so lets agree to disagree.
Nor have I, I'm baffled by this. I've seen France overtake the UK a few times, (which I think is fine), I haven't seen Russia come within a billion miles of the UK industry-wise in... well, forever.
I'll bite. No sunshine, access to a game company's forums is not a fundamental human right. Paradox is entirely within its rights to limit access to certain forums to people who register the game (which signals they bought it legally). Nor is asking people to type a bunch of letters and numbers into a webpage for additional services 'extortion' or 'wrong'.
Is anyone else noticing a shortage of small arms and cement in the early to mid game? Also Mexico seems to frequently get SOI'd by the USA, and China loves attacking Portuguese colonies.
Holy crap that's exhaustive, and well organized! PI devs should thank you for your efforts.
I really think its a big improvement (sans the installation problems).
One annoyance is the fact that war declarations on you are rather silent. Should be pop up or pop up and pause by default.
as a russia (me playing it) russia over took UK in industry fairly easily by ~1850 but the score was no where near 1000+
sorry for late reply

I can´t start the game. Vcomp100.dll is missing.
Maybe someone else asked already but there are 18 pages, about half of which I've read, and nobody said it in those. CBF reading another 9.
Days of insolvency counts the days without making a profit. However, when profit is made it doesn't clear, it starts counting backwards. That seems like a bad design because you can hover over a profitable factory and it'll day "8 days of insolvency" because it's working off the initial 14 days of insolvency after construction. Is it meant to work like that?
Very few games multithread well, if at all. Not sure why everyone seems to think it is some industry standard. Maybe in 2 more years...
The new assert hegemony functionality appeared to not be working? I attack Austria in 1848, and beat them soundly, no sphered nations switched. I tried it with and without peacing out their spherlings.
Not a huge deal as they fell out of GP status 5 years later anyway, but still annoying to fight a war over control of saxony and not get it.
djm: google for WinRAR, it has a trial period
Question: what is the secret ingredient to make Age of Liberalism trigger for Austria? I decreased the 30% literacy requirement to 17% (Austria would never reach 30% before socialism triggers), but still it never fires.
Even better. Download 7zip. It does the same things and it's completely free.djm: google for WinRAR, it has a trial period

- The Hegemony War Goal for the German states should only become available after the Springtime of Nations has passed*, or, even better, after an attempt to form a liberal Germany via a Crown in the Gutter event has failed. This would quite neatly show the development of German nationalism from being a primarily liberal idea to a conservative/national idea, whilst also tidily stopping Germany forming too soon.
