I'm happy to see progress being made on this. After looking at the current implementation, I think one major gap that remains is being able to filter which countries you're interested in. The categories should be something like: 1) Just me 2) Neighbors 3) Countries I have some diplomatic agreement with. OR just allow tagging of specific countries you want messages for which worked well in past games. The latter would be my preference.

Also, when clicking the gear icon on the message in the feed, it should let you set message options for that specific type of message, instead of trying to figure out which in the long list it belongs to (this was done in past games very well).

Very valid feedback! We are planning to improve this in the future, but as of now I can't answer to when that will be.

Good news, I can now answer that making it easier to go from a specific Notification to the setting for that type of Notification will most likely make it for 1.2! Country filtering will have to wait until a later update though.

That's better than the current state for sure. I would mention though that there is a mod currently that does decent filtering (to "just me" for example). It might be pretty easy to borrow from that. Some kind of filtering, even if it's not the full planned implementation yet, may be better than no country filtering at all. It's called "Notifications Filter": https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2883625242 . I'm sure the author wouldn't mind.

Any info on what is happening with the 'current situation' panel? I noticed the unused construction did get an indicator in the top bar like 'no tech selected' has. Are we going to see other important pieces split off?

Oh, and by the way Devs, I still don't like flag occupation 'Current Situation' even after playing more since the last time I posted that I don't like this.

Good to see the dynamics in this feature and that there is a future roadmap.

But also waving my torch and pitchfork at the Current Situation button.
